April Nerd Block Unboxing

Talk about a turn around.

Earlier this month, I did a review of my March Nerd Block Box. It was…well…okay. I loved some items and meanwhile tucked others away in a closet.

NOT THIS MONTH.

Yesterday the April Nerd Block plopped onto my porch. I was excited and curious to see what was in it. This time, I was not disappointed.

For starters, this month’s t-shirt was not available in my size, so the good folks at Nerd Block sent me TWO other shirts in my size! I received a Star Wars t-shirt and a Deadpool t-shirt (which I am ECSTATIC to receive). For those new to the Legendarium universe, check out the Deadpool movie review that I did back in February. Honestly, I would have preferred these over this month’s t-shirt anyway.  ANY article of clothing with Deadpool on it ranks high in my book. I have a deep affection for nerdy t-shirts, so receiving two in my box was a special surprise.

Chimichangas anyone?

Additionally, I received a Doctor Who David Tennant bobblehead. Perfection.

I also received a Firefly action figure of Kaylee Frye. Now don’t start throwing vegetables at me, but I have never watched Firefly (*GASP*) although many of my friends insist that I will love it. After I finish catching up on Game of Thrones, Girls, The Flash, and Poldark, I will check it out (hey, I’m a busy gal!).

I also received a Mad Max Fury Road comic #1 exclusive Nerd Block edition.

and some swwweeeeeet Star Wars ankle socks!

Turns out, these were the socks you’re looking for

Speaking of Star Wars, the box also had a neat projector pen. You press a button on the side of the barrel and it shoots a storm trooper on your wall. I’m a pen aficionado so I think it’s pretty nifty!

Finally, I got a cute ET magnet.

Overall, I am incredibly pleased with this month’s Nerd Block. Two shirts, a David Tennant (*swoon*) bobblehead, and a sundry of nerdy things. It was a great month for subscribers.

Next month promises to be even better. May’s box promises to focus on Star Wars, Star Trek (with a nod to Leonard Nimoy), The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, as well as something associated with Ray Bradbury. RAY FREAKIN’ BRADBURY. I am obsessed with Bradbury. The worst part is that I have to wait another month before it arrives, but I’m sure it will be the best box yet. I cannot wait.

To sign up for Nerd Block, visit here. Make sure to select the “Sci-Fi” box, as there are several to choose from. If you sign up before May 15, you get a free t-shirt.
