2012 Interview with Bernd of Greisinger Museum – A Middle-earth Themed Museum!

Hail Friends!
I am really excited to share this first video from the Legendarium Archive with everyone!   As we recently announced here (A New Beginning), a team of Legendarium Media founders are re-launching the endeavor. We wish to preserve and share the great content that the Middle-earth Network and Legendarium Media created over the years.  It’s very important to restore this content to fantasy & sci-fi fans. Also, content contributors and guests we featured or interviewed deserve to be able to access and share this archival content.

Some of these videos and articles have not been available to the public for years. We even plan to release content that we’ve never published!  Our team is going all the way back to those first exciting days of 2011 when we were just starting the Middle-earth Network & MyMiddle-earth.  We will be digging through the dusty old IDE hard drives to see what we can uncover!  There is a trove of content from past Mythmoots, online fan conventions like “Reclaiming The Blade Day”, Hobbit Days, the “Beowulf Launch Party”, celebrity interviews, reviews, movie premieres and so much more!

Our First Re-Release

This first video from the archives features my “chance-meeting” interview with Bernd Greisinger about his creation of a middle-earth themed museum in Switzerland.  I met Bernd at the Return of the Ring 2012 conference hosted by the Tolkien Society. This was my first time hearing about this amazing museum inspired by Tolkien’s works.

In the video below – you can hear the unexpected & impromptu interview, later set to a slide-show, that was conducted shortly after first meeting Bernd at the Tolkien Society event. The museum in Switzerland, which was then still in development, is a non-profit foundation. It houses the Greisinger Collection (GC), Bernd Greisinger’s private collection focused on “Middle-earth”; the world’s largest and most important of its kind which consists primarily of art and literature as well as collectors’ items of any kind.
