Arrow-Season 5 Episode 5- Human Target

On this week’s Arrow, Diggle returns and meets the new team. Rene (Wild Dog) gives in to the pain after being tortured and tells Tobias Church the Arrow’s real identity. Church puts a hit out on Oliver. Rene learns what Church has planned. Rene tries to act all tough about dealing with what happened and almost dying. Church had him digging his own grave while he talked to him. He says he does not remember what Church told him but Diggle helps him to focus on that night and he tells them about the plan.

A friend of Diggle’s comes to Star City and helps with a plan to catch Church. That plan involves him becoming Oliver and faking his death. Thea and the others are not told until the last minute so Church will be convinced it is real. They are able to apprehend Church and he tells Oliver someone named Prometheus is after him. Prometheus kills Church after learning that Arrow is Oliver Queen.

Who is Prometheus and why are they after the Arrow? Why did they wait to kill Church until after he told them who the Arrow really is? Is it someone from Oliver’s past?

Coming up…

On next week’s episode Felicity and Curtis learn that Prometheus’ victims have a link to Oliver’s past.
