Captain America: Civil War has the action we like to see in the Marvel movies and it also has some comedic times. As a fan I couldn’t say I was on either team Iron Man or team Captain America. I’m a fan of both characters and it would have been hard to choose. Both Iron Man and Captain America had valid reasons for their actions toward the other. Their actions and issues with each other were what made the movie great. Those issues stem from the government trying to control the heroes and what they do. We are introduced to Black Panther and the new Spider-Man in this one.
On one side we had Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Falcon. On the other side we had Iron Man, Black Widow, Black Panther, War Machine, and Vision. Absent were Thor and The Hulk but they were mentioned.
Of course Black Panther seemed to have his own agenda especially when it came to Bucky and wanting to kill him. Bucky was apparently the reason for a lot of the issues between Iron Man and Captain America in this one. In the end, Tony finds out something that changes his attitude toward both Bucky and Captain America. He tries to kill Bucky and that pits him and Captain America against each other once more.
One of the things I liked is the way Iron Man introduced Spider-Man to the teams by calling him Underoos. Spider-Man didn’t seem to know when to stop talking and start fighting. He was in awe when meeting the others. The Spider-Man scenes definitely led to some of the funny moments in the movie. The poor kid didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he agreed to help Iron Man. He kept distracting the others while they were fighting by asking questions or just talking in general when he should have been concentrating on the fight. It was a great way to introduce Black Panther and the new Spider-Man to fans. Moviegoers will not be disappointed.
