Change is Coming: The Fantastic Four Trailer

Early this morning, 20th Century Fox unleashed the teaser trailer for the new Fantastic Four movie.

It is the first real footage anyone has seen. The project, by and large, has been kept tightly under wraps, with only a few stills from the set and the occasional leaked plot/character detail to satiate (and, in some cases, anger and confuse) fans.

A grand departure from the previous two Fantastic Four films, this origin story is based on Ultimate Fantastic Four comic series. Published in 2004, Ultimate Fantastic Four was a contemporary reimagining of the original 1961 comic series.

Gone are the brightly colored suits and spaceships. The Four have entered the 21st century.

The film stars Miles Teller (Whiplash) as the stretchy supergenius Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara (“House of Cards”) as the Invisible Girl, Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) as the Human Torch, Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer) as the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing, and Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as the nefarious Doctor Doom.

Fantastic Four is due in theaters August 7th.
