Some screenshots allegedly from the upcoming episodic Game of Thrones by Telltale Games have surfaced. While Telltale has yet to authenticate the leaked images, they look to be in the style that is uniquely Telltale based on their work on The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.
First reported by GameSpot, the series retains the look from the HBO show, even using the actor’s likeness from the show. You should recognize Cersei, Tyrion, and Jamie Lannister, as well as Margery Tyrell in the screenshots. Also shown are a few characters that fans won’t recognize, which leads me to believe that they are characters from House Forrester, the family you take control of in Telltale’s 6-episode series. Within the game you will see places you recognize, such as King’s Landing, The Wall and the North, as well as places we haven’t seen as in House Forrester’s keep Ironrath. The developers are still shooting for a 2014 release of Episode 1, but no date has yet to be announced. In fact, if these screenshots prove to be completely authentic, this is the first we’ve actually seen of the highly-anticipated title. Game of Thrones will release on Xbox One/Xbox 360, Playstation 3/Playstation 4 and PC/Mac. iOS will also get a version with more platforms to be announced later.
