Another week of Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor. Another glimpse at his considerable talent at playing a curmudgeonly grump, an aloof wanderer, a pompous know-it-all and a childish prankster all in the space of a single episode. Even in the space of a single scene, it feels at times!

“The Caretaker” really showcased the 12th Doctor’s humor as well as his increasingly ‘complicated’ relationship with Clara Oswald. But it also gave us a chance to get better acquainted with a couple supporting characters and one really cool villain, who looks like quite the technological undertaking for the Doctor Who practical effects team.

This week on Doctor Who Extra, the BBC takes us behind the scenes as we get a peek at the production of “The Caretaker” from the cast and crew.
