Before Brian Singer’s Superman Returns was made there was another Superman movie that was in the works, Superman Lives. Directed by Tim Burton, still riding high off the success of his Batman films, Superman Lives was going to feature Brainiac using Doomsday to kill Superman, followed by his subsequent resurrection. Given that the inclusion of Brainiac and Doomsday and Burton’s involvement this sounds initially like a fanboy’s dream come true. So, why didn’t this movie get made? Fortunately, The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? is a documentary intent on investigating this very question. Check out the teaser trailer below!
