The Fellowship of the Ring Performance At Wolf Trap National Park

Wolftrap, America’s premier national park for performing arts is having the event of the summer, September 6th and 7th. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring film score will be performed by a live orchestra and the City Choir of Washington D. C. along with a showing of the complete Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the ring film in HD. Tickets to the event range from $58.00 for box seats to $25.00 for lawn seats.  Both performances on both days will begin at 7:30 pm at the Filene center.

This marvelous event will feature director Peter Jackson’s epic Oscar-winning movie in high-definition on huge screens in-house and on the lawn, combined with a live performance of Howard Shore’s award-winning score with orchestra, several choruses, and soloists. There are a broad array of artistic and musical events at Wolfttrap.   1. Uggggh! I wish I’d known about this earlier! I went to their showing of Return of the King with live orchestra several years ago and it was simply amazing. It was like seeing it for the first time all over again.

  2. Ugh, I’m missing this by a week. A WEEK! Wolf Trap is a fantastic place to experience live music. This would be amazing.
