An Expected Journey to the Greisinger Museum

We’re excited to announce that our very own Co-Founder of Legendarium Media, John Di Bartolo, will be attending the grand opening celebrations of the Greisinger Museum. John will be providing live and up to the minute coverage of the this long expected party.

The Greisinger Museum is located in eastern Switzerland, precisely in Jenins, one of the municipalities in the canton of Grisons, which are well known for wine-making. The museum opens its doors in September for fans and friends of Middle-earth. The museum houses the Greisinger Middle Earth Collection (GMEC), Bernd Greisinger’s private collection focused on “Middle-earth”, the world’s largest and most important of its kind which consists primarily of art and literature as well as collectors’ items of any kind. The construction of the museum started in mid-2008. Planning and building of the museum centered around the use of the Greisinger Middle Earth Collection. All rooms provide you with their warmth to the visitors the feeling of being in Middle-earth. Through the door of the hobbit hole you get into the museum, whose rooms are for the most part underground.

John met museum owner Bernd Greisinger at the Return of the Ring 2012 gathering in Loughborough, England in August of 2012. You can hear the impromptu interview that was conducted the very night they first met here on this video:

In anticipation of the event, John lets us know that; “I am so excited and honored to be invited to the Greisinger Museum Opening Ceremony. I had such a wonderful time meeting Bernd and Wolfgang Greisinger last year at Return of the Ring, and having kept in touch and followed the development of the collection since then, I really do feel like I am about to visit Middle-earth! I can’t wait to share the photos, video and details of the event with Legendarium Media! I also can’t wait to raise a glass with other friends who will be there as well. It will be several nights to remember!”</strong>

In addition check out this video from a TV station in Switzerland which visited Bernd during the construction of the Museum.
