From SoundtrackNet – Momentous news! It’s been announced by Kathleen Kennedy that John Williams will be scoring the new Star Wars films, Star Wars VII, VIII and IX. IN an announcement at Celebration Europe in Essen, Germany. From John Williams: “I look forward to returning to a galaxy far, far away. I hope I can contribute something in the new films that will be worthy of your continued attention.”

I certainly look forward to what he will continue to bring to the Star Wars franchise. His scores helped make all six films and I am sure we will get more great music from him for these next films. Very exciting!
