With great anticipation for the success of Man of Steel, Warner Bros. has already made the decision and have confirmed two more movies in the works for the caped hero.
As first reported by Deadline, Warner Bros. will green light two more movies which will include, Man of Steel 2 and Justice League. The movies will be led by the same director/writer team of Zack Snyder and David Goyer. The project was made possible with the agreement from Christopher Nolan staying on as “producer and mentor”. According to Deadline, “What is a question mark next time is the role Christopher Nolan will fill. For this 3rd Superman franchise, Nolan stepped in as producer and mentor and story co-writer. I’m told that next time Nolan’s producer role won’t be as ‘full blown”
Much like now, Nolan’s role in Man of Steel is mostly behind the scenes even according to a previous interview with Henry Cavill, “Chris Nolan wasn’t there during the production itself, although I’m not sure how much work was done behind the scenes. I’m sure Zack had a phone call or two with him, but this is definitely Zack’s baby. He was the man in charge, and we created the character together, as opposed to having too many outside influences.”
Although Justice League is confirmed, we may see Man of Steel 2 and a possible Batman movie before this happens.
