The Pulp – O-Mizer was created by artist Bradley W. Schenck, the Pulp-O-Mizer is a fun generator that allows you to create your own covers with the classic “pulp” theme. Unfortunately at this time, you are not able to upload your own images and logos.

From the website: “The Pulp-O-Mizer was conceived and created – from its images to its Javascript and PHP programming – by the one-man band that is me, Bradley W. Schenck. But because no one-man band is an island, a lot of other people have contributed to whatever is good about the Pulp-O-Mizer. I’ll take total credit for the other stuff.

I have benefited enormously from all kinds of Javascript and PHP snippets that I’ve found on the web. I probably can’t even remember all of them, which isn’t very nice of me. But I am able to mention jQuery, the popular Javascript extension; some very helpful example code for the PHP GD library; a unique filename generator for PHP; and this text wrap function that’s used for canvas rendering.Amazing Stories magazine cover by Robert Gibson Jones It’s the nature of the beast that none of these things worked exactly the way I needed. Still, having those examples to start with was pretty much essential to getting the Pulp-O-Mizer up and running. So, thanks!”

“The Pulp-O-Mizer allows its lucky operator to select from menus of backgrounds, foregrounds, and magazine titles and to add new and exciting text to them for use as web graphic memes, blog illustrations, Facebook posts, forum messages, or for any other non-commercial purpose.” – Professor Zappencackler

  1. This is cool. I wonder if I can create one and get away with using it as a real book cover. . .
