Announced by Warner Bros this past week, The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy will now be available in a 5-disc Blu-ray set!
This release, much like the last Complete release has the movies spread out on two discs with bonus features on the last three. Bonus features include “Making of…” documentaries as well as full cast and crew commentaries.
The Blu-ray Sets are available for pre-order on the WB Shop website. Each set is $27.95 and only ships to the USA.

nice, but read the books first(as if you haven’t already)and why so many discs? BD has so many more hours space than dvd…
I heard reviews that the Fellowship of the Ring part was not redone very well on blu ray but the other two were ok. Does anyone know how well these versions are redone? I have the EE non blu ray versions, but they’re getting rather worn and want to buy these, however I’m not going to if the quality is not that good.
