Bluewater Productions will continue their series of biographical comic books with an exciting new release for Tolkien and fantasy fans. Orbit #8: J.R.R. Tolkien: The True Lord of the Rings.
Written by Brian McCarthy and Michael Lent, with penciling by Luis Chichon, and cover art by Hyunsang Michael Cho, this book is scheduled for release on May 30th and will focus on Tolkien’s horrific World War I experiences and how they helped to shape The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
According to Bluewater, this book will only be sold through actual comic book stores, but we were able to find a pre-ordering website for those of you who don’t have a brick and mortar store nearby. Typically, these biography comics are very popular and do not re-print. It will retail for $3.99 for the single issue and does not appear to be an on-going or multi-issue series.
The website says that it’s already out of stock and not available. 🙁

Then contact a local comic shop, if you have one. Or check Amazon. If you can get a comic shop tell them you want to order a copy and they should be able to get you one through the distributor.
